Hey, if you don't feel like reading an atheist's reflections on god and prayer, feel free to skip this post.  I promise I won't hold it against you.  I wrote it mostly for myself, and while I don't feel like I said anything particularly offensive, that's a personal thing, your mileage may vary, and it's not really my call to make.

That's why it's under a cut. )

I don't know why I felt like writing this today.  I don't usually talk about religion or my lack of it much.  I guess between seeing so much talk about Easter and me being in such a good mood today, I felt a little nostalgic or philosophical or something.

Anyway, I hope you all have had wonderful days.  =)

It's three-thirty in the morning.

The cat I mentioned in the last post is actively hunting a mouse.

How am I going to sleep tonight?
rhubarb: (Default)
--A nap
--The cat to come cuddle with me
--My drive to write to come back
--The PT Secret Santa reveal to happen.  I'm feeling a bit attention whore-ish, if the subject of the post didn't tip you off.
--If not for the reveal to happen, for my giftee to at least let me know if she liked what I wrote her.  It's been over a week since I gave it to her, now.
--A sweater
--Some tea

I'll be back with something a little less bratty later, maybe.
rhubarb: (business as usual)
So, after spending a couple days having frantic phone conversations with Dad, reading lots of Calvin and Hobbes, and eating lots of chocolate, I was able to get a new laptop last night.

There will be no liquids brought within a three-foot radius of this thing, if I have anything to say about it.  *cracks knuckles*
rhubarb: (oh shi-)
So.

Guess who spilled orange juice on her laptop?

Taking it to the campus IT Help place super early tomorrow.  I'm in the library right now.

It has come to my attention that the songs Ego, by Beyonce Knowles, and Sexy Bitch, by David Guetta are the pinnacles of musical genius.

I can't think of any other reason my roommate would find it necessary to have had them on a constant loop all afternoon.

Two finals done, two to go.  Sorry for being so scarce, lately.  I've been trying to keep up with my flist, but between getting assignments done and studying, I haven't been around as much as I'd like to be.  Well, soon enough it'll be summer break, and I'll have loads of time to waste on livejournal.

In an effort to make some progress on the Princess Tutu fanfic that has been in my head since October but refuses to be written, I'm going to re-watch the series.  As I do, I'll be taking notes/writing stupid commentary and posting it here.  It's really for my own benefit and it probably won't be particularly entertaining, so there's no need to read it unless you happen to feel like it.  I'm always open for discussion, though.

Man, I seriously fail at this livejournal business.  I've been very inattentive to my flist of late ("of late" being the past few months).  My apologies.

So, today I:

--Got up at four-thirty, having gone to bed at midnight
--Finished the killer paper that did not want to be written, barely on time
--Realized that I will be done with high school forever in less than two weeks
--Stared in horror at how little writing I've done lately
--Possibly insulted a good friend
--Ate too much ice cream.

Dad's out of town, so I'm babysitting until tomorrow night.  At least we have friends who like to feed us.

Book Club met at the Hastings today.  I had forgotten the color of the uniforms there, and unwittingly chose to wear a shirt of the exact same color.  On four separate occasions, I was asked questions regarding sales and the location of the calendars.
